Meet the Team: Courtney Morgan
This mother of three is a rockstar wedding planner, the best shopping partner, & one of the best pros we know.
Meet Courtney Morgan, SunQuest’s Director of Events. Formally, her job title includes leading our team of Destin wedding planners in creating beautiful and seamless celebrations for our clients. Her day-to-day includes collaborating with our wedding planners and florist to custom-design each event, meeting with couples to review event logistics, and keeping our team up to date on the most current wedding trends.
In addition to being an incredible wedding planner, Courtney is a wonderful mom to three children – Mallory, Levi, and Grayton. Yes, Grayton is her Florida baby and named after her and her husband’s favorite beach in the world, Grayton Beach. Courtney and her husband are both part of the SunQuest team. You can usually find her husband, Thomas, officiating beach ceremonies. Being able to celebrate couples together creates a unique date night!
When the team ventures out of the office, you can bet that Courtney will convince us to stop into one of our local boutiques to shop their latest collections. A lover of designer bags, Courtney once admitted to owning over 50 bags at the same time! She’s our team’s go-to shopping partner and always has a recommendation if you’re looking for an outfit for your next event. Plus, she has highly sought-after sale dates memorized.
We asked Courtney a few questions to better get to know her. Here’s what she said!
What’s your favorite current wedding trend?
“Embroidered veils are SO fun! I love seeing Brides incorporate their own personal style into their wedding day look.”
If you had a weekend with no weddings, where would we find you?
“A weekend with NO weddings? I would go crazy. If that ever happened, I’d probably be enjoying a night out on 30a with my husband. We love late nights at McTighes, they have the best pretzels!”
What’s your go-to Starbucks order?
“Iced hazelnut latte.”
What’s one totally irrational fear that you have?
“Snakes. I won’t even entertain the sight of them.”
Can you recommend your favorite local restaurant?
“We love taking the kids to Beach Camp in Grayton Beach! Their cavatappi alfredo is to die for!”
What’s the best part of your job?
“The family that SunQuest has built. SunQuest welcomed my family with open arms and we’ve created this tight-knit community here which is invaluable with the majority of our family still in St. Louis. I love coming to work every day because I love the people I work with! Every day is a new adventure, allowing me to be creative and tell a couple’s story through event design. Being able to be 100% authentic and creative is important to me.”
